Is Camping les Arbois accessible to people with disabilities?

We do our best to make the stay as pleasant as possible for everyone. A few practical points:

  • The paths on our campsite are gravel paths. They are easily accessible on foot, but please keep in mind that gravel can be less comfortable for wheelchairs or walkers.
  • We have a family shower with a spacious shower and a toilet for people with disabilities.
  • You can park your car right by your camping pitch, so you don’t have to walk far.
  • The paths are ‘softly’ lit in the evenings, so you can easily find your way to the sanitary facilities while still enjoying the starry sky.

Unsure if our campsite is suitable for your situation? Feel free to contact us in advance at mail@campinglesarbois.com and we will see what is possible together.

Is Camping les Arbois LGBTQ+ friendly?

Everyone is welcome at Camping les Arbois. Love whoever you want.
Our sanitary building is gender-neutral.

–

Can I charge my electric car?

We do not have this option at the campsite. There is a fast charger at the Super U in Saint-Germain-du-Bois, 6 km away.

What are you doing about sustainability?

We moved here for the nature, and what beautiful nature it is. Here you can find squirrels, owls, buzzards, and occasionally a roe deer, among other things. In the spring, you can spot the Hoopoe and enjoy the Golden Oriole and Nightingale.

  • To give all these little animals a nice place to live, we have hung a number of birdhouses, insect houses, and owl boxes on the grounds.
  • Various natural embankments have been constructed scattered across the grounds, providing a home for many small creatures. From hedgehogs to the dormouse (which is nearly extinct in the Netherlands).
  • There is a picking flower garden where bees, butterflies, and other insects find their food. You may pick flowers here too.
  • Waste is separated into three basic bins: glass, tri-bags (plastic, metal, and paper packaging), and household waste (this also includes green waste/compost). We assist you with this by providing bins in which you can collect packaging materials during your stay. There are also a number of extra bins for batteries, clothing, and gas canisters.
  • Rainwater is collected so that we can use it as drinking water for the animals, to water plants, and to clean food bowls.
  • Leaves are raked onto the grass patches in the autumn, but we use them as nourishment and mulch for the soil in the vegetable garden, the woods, and the shrubs between the patches. This reduces moisture evaporation and provides valuable nutrition for the soil.
